are children born in one’s youth." Psalm 127:4
Learning in Community
We truly believe learning in community isn't a luxury, it is a necessity. Homeschooling is not meant to be done alone and we all know learning is a lot more fun with friends involved. We believe learning together deeply connects kids and we think there are four areas in the homeschool home that are often neglected because they are harder to do because of set-up, messiness or lack of interest. We decided we wanted to meet that need and ARROWS Collaborative was born. Due to the growth of ARROWS there may be special interest classes added on in the future but for this season, our four classes are Science (with a lab or STEM aspect), Art, P.E. and Immersive History (with props or hands on activities based on what we are studying). We divide up our students into five groupings - Scouts (ages 4-5), Pioneers (6-7), Explorers (ages 8-10), Pathfinders (ages 10-13), Trailblazers (ages 14+) and high schoolers (15-18).
The Scouts programing is slightly different than the other groups since it is designed with shorter activities and more activities perfect for ages 4-5.
Our high school program is exciting because we will be focusing on project based learning. We want to give our high schoolers real world challenges which will prepare them for their life after high school whether they choose to attend college, learn a trade or start a business. We believe the job market is rapidly evolving and we want to develop and encourage creative thinking and problem solving to prepare our students for their next step towards adulthood.
The Explorers, Pathfinders and Trailblazers all rotate through each subject and are challenged at their appropriate level. From Scouts to Trailblazers, each grouping is centered around activities that are hands-on, fun and challenging.
We meet Tuesdays from 9:30 am - 2:00 pm
Typical Schedule:
Drop-off begins at 9:15 am
Assembly starts at 9:30 am
Everyone meets together in the assembly hall where we start the day off in prayer, scripture reading, weather report and usually one other short activity.
After Assembly, the Scouts will go off with their teacher and the other groups are separated and begin their first block of classes.
After another rotation for the older groups, we re-convene in the assembly hall for lunch and show-n-tell. After lunch, it is PE and logic games for the older groups, the Scouts continue with their special activities until everyone is picked up at 2:00 pm.

Scouts and Pioneers
This is where it all begins! In our Scouts (ages 4–5) and Pioneers (ages 6–7) program, students are introduced to foundational skills that set the tone for a lifetime of learning. Children practice working as a team, raising their hands, listening to others, and developing respect and responsibility in an engaging environment.
Throughout the day, students rotate through a variety of hands-on learning, including a literature-based nature study, physical education, and art. While both Scouts and Pioneers participate in these classes, Pioneer activities are thoughtfully adapted to support their growing abilities and independence.

Explorers and Pathfinders
As students grow, they step into our Explorers (ages 8–10) and Pathfinders (ages 11–13) program, where curiosity deepens and learning expands.
Throughout the day, students rotate through classes, including history STEM, marine biology, art, and physical education. Each subject is designed to encourage critical thinking in a hands-on, collaborative environment. While both Explorers and Pathfinders experience these classes, Pathfinder instruction is tailored to support their continued growth.
Trailblazers and High School
Our Trailblazers (age 14/middle school) and High School (ages 15–18) programs are designed to support students as they grow into independent, self-directed learners.
Families have the flexibility to enroll in classes a la carte or participate in the full-day program, allowing each student’s schedule to be tailored to their goals and interests. *Not all classes will be offered to both Middle School and High School*

Art
We love introducing our art students to many different mediums and techniques. We want them to be challenged so they will grow in their abilities but not to the point they are frustrated and want to give up. Art is meant to be fun and expressive!

We explore the world of science by first looking to the author of science Himself and let Him be our Guide as we study the beautiful world around us. Our science is all hands-on since we believe one of the best ways to learn is to try something out!

PE
We have a blast in PE with our structured games and fitness challenges, but most importantly we teach what it is to have perseverance and good sportsmanship. We get to experience winning and losing and how to handle all the emotions that come with either outcome with grace and self-control.
